Trying to find a way to make a fabulous family outing without breaking the bank this 4th of July? Plan a picnic at a local park, the beach, a patio, a concert, in your living room or anywhere else you can think of.
You can make or buy inexpensive decor from places like the Dollar Store or Home Goods. They have everything you will need from blankets, plates, and silverware to décor and more. I find if I look around the house long enough, I can find almost everything needed already, have fun with this and be creative.
When planning be sure to think through the menu, consider the elements of where you will be, time of day and tools needed for preparation. Think about things like if your items will melt or need heating up. You can get boxes and pack the meals up ahead of time, so they are ready to serve.
For entertainment, Yard Games have been all the rage lately. IDEA: check to see if your local library offers games for card holders to check out, it’s a great option when trying to be cost effective. Put a game or two out to add to the fun.
Don’t forget to bring the bug spray if you are heading outdoors but most of all don’t forget to have fun!

*ORGANIZATION TIP*
Pack everything in an oversized bag, here is a Just Ask Jen recommendation… https://www.boggbag.com/. We also recommend a wheeled cooler for food and drinks https://www.igloocoolers.com/ is a Just Ask Jen favorite.
